Giorgio Sant'Angelo first hit the fashion map when Diana Vreeland asked him to design clothing for a desert location shoot that starred Verushka in 1968. This shoot is legendary and his clothing was instantly sought out by all the most fashionable women on the planet! Constructed of two layers of a poly crepe chiffon the dress cascades to to the floor in a bust of floral designs. Each sleeve is cut full and has an elastic mini ruffle at the cuff. From the shoulders to below the hip the fabric has been done in wide flat pleats to create some shape and detail - this is especially apparent at the back and I love the lines it creates! Once those vertical seams release the skirt below has extra fullness. Striking and fabulous with that hippie chic feel only the seventies did best! Excellent condition
